I was just chosen for the Berton House writing residency in Dawson, Yukon. I'll be there from October to December of this year working on my history of aviation in Canada's north. I was also just awarded a Canada Council for the Arts grant for this project. I'm also working on a novel, tentatively titled Chasing Skies, about a Canadian female bush flyer turned Air Transport Auxiliary pilot during WWII. My first book, For the Love of Flying: the Story of Laurentian Air Services was launched last summer in Canada and abroad. So far arm-chair aviation enthusiasts and historians alike are finding it as enjoyable to read as it was to research and write! I travel quite a bit, so please use the calendar at right for my schedule. I would be happy to try and fit your town, organization, or business into one of my trips, so please contact me with queries.
