SUBJECT LINE: I COULDN’T STOP SMILING WHILE EXPLORING
“I came across Alis the Aviator on Amazon and was immediately charmed by the playful yet informative way you bring aviation history to life. The combination of gorgeous cut-paper art and a spunky guide like Alis makes learning about planes feel like a joyful adventure for readers of all ages.
What really stood out to me was how Alis herself embodies both curiosity and courage, reflecting the trailblazing spirit of Dr. Alis B. Kennedy. That personal connection, paired with the meticulous attention to detail in your illustrations, makes this book truly memorable and inspiring.”
This may have come from an email marketing scam, but it’s not wrong 😄 You know why? Because these scammers are using AI to scrape reviews and back cover copy to generate these ego-stroking notes trying to convince authors to part with our money in the hopes of joining some non-existent or not-very-good ‘book club’ or ‘book promotion’ deal.
So authors – block and delete all these kinds of emails. DO NOT FALL FOR THEM. But maybe we grab these great little bits of marketing copy to repurpose for ourselves!
Readers – please support authors by sharing about the books you love, gifting them this holiday season, and leaving reviews/stars on Amazon, Goodreads, your local library websites, and elsewhere.
Thanks for listening to my TedTalk 😉
