What perfect timing!
The First Nations Communities Reads award certificate arrived at Fred’s house his 90th birthday week. Congrats again, Fred and Audrea Wulf and the Tundra team! And thank you to the Periodical Marketers of Canada for sponsoring this award and putting copies of Freddie the Flyer in every First Nations library in Ontario.
I also worked with a teacher in Cape Breton to get her students to sing Fred “Happy Birthday” – which they did happily (even after I messed up the first recording. We called it the ‘dress rehearsal’. Ha!) You can see that over on my Instagram account!
Fred is so special to me and so many people out in his community and the world. Just ask the 100 people who stopped by to wish him well during his birthday open house! Wish I could have given you a birthday hug in person, Fred. Many happy returns, my friend!
